...As an Educator

Chris King has taught trumpet since 2003, and does frequent clinics for Central Florida middle and high schools.  A partial clinician log includes: Edgewater High School, Oak Ridge High School, Walker Middle School, Bishop Moore High School, Lake Mary Preparatory School, Faith Christian Academy, Howard Middle School, and others.  He is currently on the lesson faculty at Lake Mary Preparatory School (Lake Mary, FL), and Classic Rock School of Music (Orlando, FL).  His students have been a part of district (Orange & Seminole Counties, FL), and statewide honor ensembles, in both classical and jazz concentrations.

 

In addition to brass clinics geared toward middle and high school band students, individualized lecture topics are available, such as:

-Posture/Yoga/Relaxation while playing

-Resonance; more sound, less effort

-Style and musical interpretation

-Reality & application of your playing

-Trumpet equipment choices
